Case DEF Delete Kit – The Perfect DEF Delete Kit FPT 3.4L

Case DEF Delete Kit & FPT 3.4L DEF Delete Kit
Case DEF Delete Kit is an external device installed fully in plug and play technology allowing to completely delete the entire DEF system from 3.4L FPT/Perkins/CAT engines.
The device fully imitates the signals sent by the DEF system and all of its components. Meaning that the DEF system is no longer physically needed on the machine and can be safely removed. The installation of the Case DEF Delete Kit consists of connecting the plugs from the emulator’s wiring harness in place of the original sensors. The installation does not require any reprogramming or ECU removal. It only requires connecting the module to the engine factory connectors.
This Delete Kit fits many different engines which comes from the fact of the different nomenclature in engine tagging. The emulator will fit any 3.4L engine with EDC17C49 Bosch ECU. That being CAT C3.4 & C3.4B engines, Perkins 854f engines and all the variations of the FPT 3.4 engines (F5 series).
Case DEF Delete Kit is meant for all 3.4L FPT engines equipped with DEF/SCR system, basically all machines using Diesel Exhaust Fluid/AdBlue. Case DEF Delete Kit is completely safe to the engine and the installation of the device is non invasive thanks to the plug and play technology.

FAQ: Frequently asked questions
How does the Case DEF Delete work?
The device sends signals mimicking the work of fully functional DEF system and all of its components. The ECU (Engine Control Unit) believes that the system is still in place and operating normally at high capacity but in reality, physically the system is switched off and does not require any maintenance or upkeep. Furthermore, the device does not make any changes in the original programming. In practice it means that with this Case DEF Delete Kit installed even if a diagnostic computer is connected it will look as if everything in the machine is stock.
How does the emulator installation work?
Installation of Case DEF Delete Kit is very simple. It consists of disconnecting 5 plugs and connecting 3 in their place. To be specific the installation consists of disconnecting DEF pump plug, DEF tank plug, DEF injector, second NOx (nitrogen oxides) sensor and the NH3 sensor plug (also called the ammonia sensor). After disconnecting all the plugs, it is required to hook up Case DEF Delete Kit using the harness provided with the kit. Thanks to the use of original components the plugs from the emulator’s harness match the ones on the machine making the installation fully plug and play.
Can I physically remove DEF/SCR from the machine?
Yes! With this device installed the DEF system components like DEF tank or DEF pump can be removed from the machine. Unlike in Case DPF delete there is no need to physically remove anything from the machine as the SCR/DEF system will not physically clog up, but should the operator or machine owner desire to remove the component from the machine Case DEF delete kit makes it possible.
Should I continue to add DEF (AdBlue) fluid?
Absolutely not! The DEF tank is no longer used and it is recommended to drain it from DEF if not remove the tank entirely. The emulator simulates the level of the fluid inside the DEF tank meaning that it will indicate on the dashboard that there’s fluid in the tank at all times. Tis is why we recommend draining the fluid from the tank as it will then not crystalize in the system, and it will be displayed on the dashboard anyway.
The sensors on my DEF system went bad. Can I still use Case DEF Delete Kit with bad sensor?
Yes! If the sensor went bad Case DEF Delete Kit still can be used and it will not affect it in any way. However, if the machine is damaged we recommend contacting our sales team to have them confirm. We treat each case individually and will be happy to study your machine and its needs. If an inducement state/derate exists on the machine (possibly caused by the bad sensor) it might be necessary to clear the codes for the ECU to start accepting the parameters from the emulator.
